Skip the tourist traps. Teenagers post the places they would send their friends.
Christian, my co-dishwasher, told me to order the Pickle Malt. A pickle in a milkshake sounded like a dare. I ordered one anyway. Sweet, salty, and strange, and I finished the whole cup.The shop is a 1921 gas station on the edge of Lake Superior. You order at the window, then carry your malt down to the Lakewalk, because the building has no seats inside. Go on a clear evening when the lake is flat and the ore boats are coming in.The season runs from May to the end of September, so check the dates before you drive out. If a Duluth kid recommends a flavor, order that one.

Forget just taking photos from the street. I climbed inside Big Ben. A narrow spiral staircase winds 334 steps past stone walls and secret windows until you reach the glowing clock faces, each bigger than a bus. At the top, you stand next to the massive Great Bell, feeling its chime in your chest, and look out over all of London. Super cool. You have to book in advance so keep an eye on this link: https://www.parliament.uk/visiting/visiting-and-tours/

Castle is up a hill so thats a walk. view at the end is the good part. Go early becasue there are a lot of school groups.
